Scott A Loe

Loe, Scott A 1961-2014 Scott A Loe, a longtime Littleton resident, passed away on November 18, 2014 of kidney failure, a complication from his longtime struggle with Type 1 Diabetes. He was 53. Scott was born in Rapid City, SD, to Orville (Ole) E. Loe and Ardyce Marie (Haugen) Loe. The family moved to Colorado in 1966, settling in Littleton, where he graduated from Heritage High School in 1979. In 1983, Scott married Melinda (Purdy) Loe. They settled in Aurora then Littleton. They had one daughter, Alicia. He worked as a procurement technician at DCMA where he retired on disability. A lover of sports, Scott was an avid Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Rockies fan. He had great passion for anything with two, three, or four wheels, from motorcycles, roadsters, and ATVs to cars and trucks – big and small (RC cars). He had an encyclopedic memory of music spanning the 70's to current bands. He enjoyed photography. Friends and family remember his quick wit and sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Brenda (Dan) Luallen. He is survived by his wife of 31 years; their daughter Alicia and her fiancé, Michael Clay; his brother, David; sister Nancy (Timothy) George; and nieces and nephews David, Danielle, Keilani, Kaley, Sarah, and Christopher. A celebration service will be held Saturday, December 6th at 10:00 a.m. at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80227. As a way to honor Scott, his family strongly encourages you to wear jeans and Colorado Av's gear to the service!
