Sandra "Sandy" Graber, age 75, passed away on Friday, October 10, at Lutheran Hospital. Sandy was born at Rose Memorial, Denver, and spent her years in Arvada. She attended all Arvada schools and went on to graduate from Western State College in Gunnison, CO.
Sandy taught at Mapleton High School and went on to finish her career in the finance world. She was also a long-time volunteer at the Arvada Food Bank.
Sandy had a love of travel and did so cruising all over the world. Her travels included trips to Japan, Australia and numerous trips to Europe. As a crazed Bronco fan, she traveled to Australia in 1999 to watch them play in the American Bowl. As a teacher, she had the opportunity to take groups of students on European travels. When Sandy was a young girl, she was the littlest catcher on her softball team, but was tough and lead her team to victories. Sandy also enjoyed playing golf, bowling and she loved to ski.
She is survived by chosen family, Jane Gray, Janay Wilson, Elizabeth Castor, Sam Eich, and Vicki Cote. She is also survived by sister-in -law, Joanie Graber, as well as nephews, Garrett and Matt.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1pm until 2:30pm, Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Horan & McConaty Mortuary, 7577 W. 80th Avenue, Arvada, CO. Please come and share memories of Sandy with us and wear your Broncos attire as Sandy loved her Denver Broncos!
