Sandra K. McCuen

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Sandra Kaye McCuen (Martin) on February 5, 2024. 

Sandy was born on July 25, 1945, in Butler, Pennsylvania to Charlotte May Martin (Hoffman) and James Leroy Martin. She was a graduate of Knoch High School (1963) and the D.T. Watson School of Physical Therapy (1967). She was a compassionate clinician and a successful private practice owner. 

Sandy always told us to “wait to worry”, because she knew that with time most of our worries disappear. She was always right. Sandy showed us how to live a life, full of love and inclusion, to bring friends and family closer together. Sandy, along with her husband, Eric, were avid travelers. They loved visiting extended, exchange student family members. Together they enjoyed many circles of beloved friends in all the places they called home - Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Colorado.  

The only thing that Sandy loved more than her profession was her family. Her husband and soulmate, Eric, shared 56 years of marriage and three amazing children, Doug (Heather), Derrick (Debbie) and Leigh (Doug) who blessed her with grandchildren that lit up her life... Morgan, Grant, Charlotte, Jamin, Lil and Griffin. She is also survived by her brother David Martin. 

Burial services will be private and per Sandy’s wishes a Celebration of Life will be held in Colorado in the Spring.
