Sandra Lee Ciocchetti (née Johnson), 73, of Arvada, Colorado, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025. A devoted wife, loving mother, and passionate educator, Sandy was known for her kind spirit, intelligence, and sharp wit. Sandy was born on May 12, 1952, in North Dakota. Though living briefly in Santa Fe, NM, she was a lifelong resident of Colorado, graduating from Arvada High School in 1970. Sandy dedicated her life to service as a passionate and dedicated paraeducator working with children who had special needs and abilities. Her commitment ensured that every child felt seen and supported. Outside of her professional life, Sandy had many cherished interests. She loved the outdoors, particularly when she was walking with her beloved dog, Kody. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending quiet time doing puzzles and crafts. A true Colorado sports fan, she was a devoted supporter of the Denver Broncos and loved relaxing with her husband to watch Lifetime Movies. Above all, Sandy's greatest joy was her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Dennis Ciocchetti; her son, Troy Ciocchetti and his husband, Alfred Cordova-Ciocchetti, of Arvada; her daughter, Carin Miller (née Ciocchetti) and her husband, Brian Miller of Broomfield; her mother, Rose Mary Johnson and her brother, Donald Johnson. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to her cherished grandchildren, Diego, Gianna, and Milana. She also leaves behind her loyal and constant companion, her beloved dog, Kody.
A celebration of Sandy's life will be held on January 10, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the home of Dennis Ciocchetti: 10720 W 102nd Ave., Westminster, CO, 80201.
