Sandra Jean Ahlquist

Sandy Ahlquist passed away peacefully on January 19th in Centennial, Colorado. She was 84 years old.

Sandy was born on July 16th, 1941, in Malden, Missouri, to Boyd and Arvilla Dowdy. She had one brother, Lawrence, who passed away in 2016.

Sandy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Reed; daughter, Stacie; son, Scott; grandkids, Dylan and Tyler; nephew, David; nieces, Joann, Lisa, Jeri, Robyn, and Kim; and her favorite son‑in‑law, Greg.

She worked as an administrative assistant in the engineering field at Bell and Howell, and later as a court reporter and realtor.

She was a thoroughly dedicated Mema, a reluctant golfer, and an eager but unfulfilled gambler.

In a varied life, she lived in Missouri, Tennessee, California, Minnesota, Arizona and her one true home, Colorado.

Mema was a huge part of Dylan and Tyler’s life and she loved them to the moon & back!

She always kept people laughing and will be greatly missed by all.
