Samuel Orlando Cordova

Samuel “Sammy” Orlando Cordova, 39, of Denver passed away in peace on August 12, 2024. Samuel was born on March 29, 1985 in Denver, Colorado. Sammy attended Smedley Elementary, Flynn Elementary, and Hodgkins Middle School. Sammy ran track throughout high school, Westy High School, and was a straight A student upon graduation. Sammy married the love of his life, Alan Densmore, on November 20, 2019. The two together enjoyed staying active by traveling often, rafting, going on walks, and year round planning for their favorite holiday, Halloween. They also enjoyed spending time in their beautiful 11th floor Uptown condo by cooking and watching movies.  Sammy worked at Tortuga  Ag Tech. Sammy himself found joy as an avid CrossFitter, world traveler, kickballer, flag footballer, and frequent participant in Sunday Funday. He showed his self-expression in his love for being an artist by drawing, painting, decorating and the occasional charity drag performance. Additionally, he loved being constantly surrounded by his many family members and the numerous amounts of friends who all held a special place in his heart. 

Samuel is preceded in death by his loving husband Daniel Alan Densmore, grandfather Samuel Cordova, grandfather Rudy Gonzales, step-grandfather Ernie Ho-A, cousin Deion Santistevan, and Aunt Cynthia Trujillo.

Samuel is survived by parents Samuel and Linda Cordova, grandparents Juanita Ho-A,  Lucy Gonzales, sister Lorae Cordova (Pheth Thammasene), nephew Pheth, niece Lola, cousins Eloy Trujillo III (Cristella), PJ, Chanell Santistevan, Yariah, Rudy, and many other loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Sammy was the most loyal, outgoing family member and friend to many. Sammy shared a sincere kindness and genuine love with every person he came in contact with. He brought his handsomeness, a beaming smile, and positive energy so contagious that he would light up any room. Sammy loved everyone unconditionally. In return, Sammy was unconditionally loved by so many family members and numerous amounts of friends.  Sammy did have a love and found comfort with Turtles. 

We all look forward to the day that we get to see Sammy’s infectious smile again. Until then, we can find comfort in knowing that Sammy is happy and at peace with his beloved, Alan.
