Sami Balestri

Sami was born on September 12, 1964, in Spring Valley, IL to Richard and Mary (Sammons) Balestri.

She grew up in Granville, IL on the family farm. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Drake University in Computer Information Systems and Finance, she started her career at the Hallmark Corporate office in Kansas City, MO and retired from the Denver Water Department in Denver, CO. From a young age, she was very athletic and enjoyed participating in all varieties of sports and fitness. She was deeply proud of her farm roots and stayed involved in the family business her whole life. She loved her family, her pets and traveling.

She is survived by her spouse, Andrea Thomsen; her sister, Rae (Gary) Winkler and her nieces Valerie and Luna.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
