Sam Reffel, Jr.

Sam Reffel, Jr., 84, of Thornton passed away on September 6, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marie; children, Steve Reffel, Jim (Julie) Reffel, Cindy (Dave) Veney; grandchildren, Tessa (Austin) Taylor, Scott Reffel, Suzanne (Patrick) Pieri, Melissa (Dan) Noell, John Reffel, Mark Reffel, Chad Reffel, and Kassady Reffel; great grandchildren, Gamble and Noble Taylor; siblings, Albert Reffel, Alvin Reffel, and Bev Ross; brother in law, Frank Saccomanno; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Visitation will take place Wednesday, 9/10 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM followed by the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street in Thornton. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, 9/12, at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 9371 Wigham Street in Thornton. Entombment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sam's name to the Mapleton Public Schools Athletic Department, 591 East 80th Avenue, Denver, 80229.
