In loving memory of Ryan Patrick Farr, born on April 13th, 1986, and passed on March 6th, 2024. Ryan is survived by his spouse, Jami, loving parents, Bill and Mary, his brothers Anthony (Erica) and Danny Farr, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ryan was a 2004 graduate of Lakewood High School. He went on to complete his undergraduate studies at the University of Northern Colorado in 2008, where he met Jami. Ryan later earned his Masters in Education from Regis University in 2021.
Ryan’s life was centered around his passion for helping others. His selfless nature was evident in his volunteer work at Fletcher Miller School and Camp Paha, where he dedicated his time to supporting children with disabilities. Additionally, he played a pivotal part in organizing the Annual King Lyles Memorial Youth baseball tournament, a tribute to his beloved friends.
With his warm and accepting nature, he effortlessly forged friendships with everyone he encountered. His knack for breaking down barriers made him unparalleled in connecting with people. Both friends and family cherished their bond with Ryan, knowing they held a unique place in his heart. He valued each relationship, old or new, without taking anyone for granted.
Professionally, he was a devoted elementary school teacher for over 10 years and focused on kids and communities that are often underserved. He consistently went above and beyond for his students, earning the endearing nickname “Superman” for his many personal sacrifices.
Throughout his life, Ryan actively engaged in a variety of sports, excelling in hockey, baseball, and tennis. His achievements included winning two state championships with Denver University Club Hockey team and earning All-Conference recognition as a catcher in high school baseball.
Ryan’s true happiness stemmed from outdoor pursuits such as skiing, fly fishing, ice skating, golf and exploring the majestic Rocky Mountains, particularly the secluded nooks and crannies of Red Rocks Park. Most of these adventures included his beloved golden retrievers, Murphy and Max. He also loved to travel and spent two summers in college working at youth camps in Switzerland.
In lieu of flowers and to honor Ryan's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Gold Crown Foundation benefiting the youth in our community.
