Ruth Joan Taylor, 89, of Wheat Ridge, CO., passed away on July 30, 2024 after complications from a fall. She had lived at Morningstar-Applewood for two years, where she enjoyed being independent, walking the halls to check on her neighbors, happy hours with music, and getting dressed up for dinner every evening.

Ruth was born Dec. 31, 1934 in Denver. She graduated from South High School in 1952, then raised a family with her first husband, Don Eicher. She married her second husband, Sam Taylor, in 1982 and did administrative work for health care agencies. She and Sam then owned a variety of small businesses, and traveled to China and Cornwall, England, among other destinations. Sam died in 2022.

She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Joe Bullard) Eicher and Sharon (David) Gaouette, and grandchildren Emily Bullard, Brian Gaouette ( fiancee, Ellen) and Sean Gaouette ( fiancee, Elena). She is also survived by her step-children Britta Taylor and Sam Taylor Jr. (Ruthie). She was preceded in death by her son, Doug.

Ruth will be buried next to Sam at Ft. Logan Cemetery in a private ceremony. There will be a celebration of her life from 3-5 p.m. Sept 5, 2024, at Wheat Ridge Recreation Center. 4005 Kipling St., Wheat Ridge.
