Ruth Danielsen, 86, passed away September 8, 2014 in Westminster, Colorado. She was born November 26, 1927 in Staten Island, New York to Thorlief and Kirsten Jensen. She married Edward John Danielsen on July 2, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2013. Ruth and Ed were active members of the Salem Evangelical Free Church on Staten Island. Ruth worked as a secretary at Richmond Occupational Training Center until her retirement in 1983. At that time, Ruth and Ed moved to New Jersey where they helped establish the Faith Evangelical Free Church in Freehold. Ruth is survived by her three daughters and their spouses, Bette and Ken Balmer, Diane and Stephen Murray, Sandy and Brad Widstrom; seven grandchildren and spouses, Matt and Aubrey Balmer, Megan and Alan Neubauer, Lindsey Widstrom, Christine Widstrom and Daniel Ford, Daniel Murray, Peter and Brianna Murray, Ellen and Drew Stockstill; three great-grandchildren, Kylie, Finn and Amelia; two sisters, Birgith Seashore and Greta Larsen, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral service for Ruth will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at 11:00 am, at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7757 West 80th Ave., Arvada, CO. 80003. A public viewing will begin at 10:00 am. Burial will be on Monday, September 15, 2014, 11:15 am, Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Blvd, Denver.
