Ruth Elaine Caward

Ruth Elaine Caward, 90, of Littleton, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Friday, July 19, 2024. 

Ruth lived in many places including Illinois, Missouri and mostly in New Mexico which she considered home. She moved to Littleton after her late husband passed away. Before retiring, she was a reading specialist for Albuquerque Public Schools and a director of the Rural Health Clinic in Truth or Consequences, NM. 

Ruth loved her family, reading, music and living close to nature. She was passionate about studying God’s Word and looked forward to the day she would meet Jesus Christ, her Savior.

Ruth is survived by her four children Mike (Nadine) Mullen, Marty Palmer, Tom (Lynda) Mullen, Melissa (Don) Peiffer, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Ruth is preceded in death by her son-in-law Brian, grandson, Matthew, and husband, Tom.

Ruth’s family would like to give a special thanks to her Optimal hospice team and all the caregivers from Rocky Mountain Assisted Living and Stone Creek Assisted Living that provided loving care for her while she was in Littleton.
