Russell Santoya, age 77, died in his home in Thornton, Colorado on April 4th, 2023. He was a graduate of Annunsiation High School in Denver, Colorado. He went on to attain an Associates Degree at the Community College of Denver. Russell was veteran in the United States Army, and served in Vietnam. Russell married Therese Chavez in 1969, and worked in the insurance field and retired with Laidlaw transit service.
Russell enjoyed visiting his many friends and family as often as he could. He is survived by his wife Therese, daughter Trace, and two grandchildren, Mikey and Reign. He is also survived by several siblings, Raymond, Richard, Robert, Carmen, Linda, Mary Ellen and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Paula, his brothers and sisters, Leo, Henry, little Bobby, Jessie, Mary, Phyllis, and Jenny.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 8th, between 2-4pm, at Horan & McConaty, 9998 Grant St, Thornton. Funeral Services will take place at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 11385 Grant St, Northglenn, Colorado. There will be Military Honors at Ft. Logan Cemetery at 1:30pm. There will be a pot luck reception at The Moose Lodge, 11489 York St. Northglenn, Colorado at about 3:30pm.
