Russell Reid

Russell Reid passed away on January 31, 2023 after a courageous fight with cancer. Russell was born on July 6, 1949 in Sweetwater, TX to Harold and Marguerite Reid. Russell graduated from Durango High School in 1967 and soon after, married the love of his life Debbie Boardman, in Pueblo, CO. He attended Colorado State University Pueblo, formerly known as Southern Colorado State College and received his Associate of Applied Science Degree in 1973.

Russell joined the Navy-USNR in October 1969 and served on the USS Norton Sound. Russell and his wife Debbie lived in Oxnard, CA, during his military service. He received an honorable discharge in October 1974 as a Petty Officer Second Class in Personnel. Russell spent his professional career in the IT industry working at Sprint, MCI WorldCom and Verizon as an IT Director.

Russell and his wife Debbie loved traveling all over the world. Italy being one of his favorite destinations. He also loved being in nature, especially four wheeling in his jeep. Additionally, his passion was photography and he loved taking photos of natural settings striving to capture the glory that God created.

Russell is preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Reid and his parents, Harold and Marguerite Reid. Russell is survived by his daughter, Carri Corbett; sister, Cheryl Reid; sister, Sandra (husband Lynn) Kopasz and extended loving family. We will miss him, but our love and memories will live in our hearts forever. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122.
