Ruhi Nasreen Mall, 84, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, in Longmont, Colorado, surrounded by the love of her family.
Ruhi was born in Sialkot, India, and from her earliest years, she embodied curiosity, compassion, and an enduring love of learning. After immigrating to the United States, Ruhi continued her academic journey at the Iliff School of Theology and the University of Denver, earning a Master’s in Theology with a Minor in Psychology and Counseling, and later completing graduate credits in Geography, Rocky Mountain Region and Natural Resources and their Conservation at Colorado University. Ruhi’s life was one of faith, intellect, and steadfast devotion to her family. She was guided by a sincere pursuit of goodness—striving always to live with integrity, loyalty, and compassion. She found deep peace in clean, beautiful spaces and drew inspiration from nature’s quiet grace.
She is survived by her beloved daughter Sonia Fossen (née Mall), son-in-law Ryan Fossen, whom she cherished as her own son, and her adored grandson Torin Fossen, the light of her life.
