RoxAnn J Haynes

RoxAnn J. Haynes, was born to Alta Maxine McCray and Leroy Osborne Sapp in Arlington, MA on June 6,1934 and passed away at her home surrounded by the love of her family on April 1, 2026. She was a devoted sister, friend, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose life was defined by her unwavering commitment to those she loved.

RoxAnn graduated from Waltham High School where she met the love of her life, earned academic awards, and was voted both prom queen and head cheerleader. Her education continued at Boston University, where she graduated in 1956 with a BS in Education. RoxAnn then taught all grades K-6 in one room at "Rabbit Hollow School” on the outskirts of Northfield, VT while her husband, Frederick M. Haynes finished his degree at Norwich University. They returned to Massachusetts to raise their family until an opportunity arose prompting their move to Denver in 1968 where RoxAnn helped Fred build a successful business.

Those who knew RoxAnn remember her as lively and vivacious, with a warmth that made her instantly beloved. Her inquisitive nature and genuine interest in others allowed her to connect effortlessly with everyone she met. In Massachusetts, Vermont and eventually Colorado, friends knew her as the vibrant spirit who could easily light up any gathering. Her laughter was contagious, a gift that brought joy to countless lives.

RoxAnn shared a remarkable life with her beloved husband, Fred, with whom she made memories for more than seventy years. Together, they created a legacy rooted in devotion and family. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her, especially her loving family and dear friends. RoxAnn’s life was a testament to connecting with others; her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
