October 5, 1924 – April 11, 2024
Rosemary grew up in Denver and graduated from Denver North High School in 1941. She attended Denver Opportunity School and began her career running the teletype machine at Montgomery Ward Department Store; for twenty-one years she worked at Denver Public Schools as a teaching assistant in several Special Education programs. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She loved reading, dancing, “discussing” politics, watching old movies, playing Monopoly and card games, solving puzzles, taking walks, and bowling. Her spaghetti sauce was beyond compare. She was kind, interesting, curious, and she knew how to enjoy life.
As the last remaining child of Salvatore and Lucy LaBriola, she is preceded in death by her husband Frank; her siblings -- Mary, John, Virginia (Red) St. Germain, Margaret (Wayne) Stegall, Pauline (Harry) Horst, and Joseph (Ann); and her in-laws -- Mary and Michael Smaldone, Alice and Salvatore Piro, and Rose and John Palmeri. She is survived by her children, Frank (Mihoko Suzuki), Gloria (Chuck) Powell, John (Camille), and Eileen (Rich) Clymo; grandchildren Nicholas (Emily Dawson), Teresa (Yev) Aspidov, Rebecca (Adam) Alberti-Powell, Winston, Michael, and Jenna; great-grandchildren, Bowen, Ivy, Phebe, Roman Aspidov, and Leo Aspidov; and numerous nieces and nephews.
