Rosemary LaBriola Palmeri

Arvada, Colorado

October 5, 1924 – April 11, 2024

Rosemary grew up in Denver and graduated from Denver North High School in 1941.  She attended Denver Opportunity School and began her career running the teletype machine at Montgomery Ward Department Store; for twenty-one years she worked at Denver Public Schools as a teaching assistant in several Special Education programs.  She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mt. As the last remaining child of Salvatore and Lucy LaBriola, she is preceded in death by her husband Frank; her siblings -- Mary, John, Virginia (Red) St. Germain, Margaret (Wayne) Stegall, Pauline (Harry) Horst, and Joseph (Ann); and her in-laws -- Mary and Michael Smaldone, Alice and Salvatore Piro, and Rose and John Palmeri.  She is survived by her children, Frank (Mihoko Suzuki), Gloria (Chuck) Powell, John (Camille), and Eileen (Rich) Clymo; grandchildren Nicholas (Emily Dawson), Teresa (Yev) Aspidov, Rebecca (Adam) Alberti-Powell, Winston, Michael, and Jenna; great-grandchildren, Bowen, Ivy, Phebe, Roman Aspidov, and Leo Aspidov; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 on April 22 at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3020 Federal Blvd.   Funeral mass will be at 9:30 on April 23 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 3549 Navajo St., Denver, CO   80211; interment follows at 1:00 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery – 4400 W. Kenyon Dr.  Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Mt.
