Rosemary LaPorta, age 89 passed away January 31, 2023. She was born May 21, 1933 in Wheatland, Wyoming to Mary Kamerzell and Alexander Kamerzell. Rosemary is survived by her son Richard Davison Jr. and her daughter-in-law Suzanne Davison, her daughter Laura LaPorta and her son-in-law Chris Emas, her 6 grandchildren Cherise Davison, Richard Davison III, Paige Krum, Nate Krum, Lauren Emas and Carolyn Emas, and her great-grandson Micah Lee. Rosemary operated LaPorta Art Gallery on Broadway in Englewood, Colorado from 1976 to 2001. During that time, she was an active leader in the Englewood Chamber of Commerce and various organizations for art gallery owners throughout the United States. After selling the art gallery, Rosemary became actively involved in the Denver First Church of the Nazarene outreach ministries helping children and families in the Englewood area who were food insecure. She was also active in prison ministry for women who were incarcerated, as well as Kid’s Hope USA where she partnered in mentoring relationships with elementary children to support their success and resiliency in school. She was a talented and independent woman who enjoyed fashion, travel, puzzles, watching football, driving to look at the Colorado aspen trees in the fall, and speaking French to anyone who had interest. She loved studying the Bible and sharing her faith with others, and her most treasured activity was spending time with her family. She was dearly loved for her strength and spirit, and she will be greatly missed.
