Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on May 20, 1920 and passed away peacefully in her home in Denver on December 24, 2014. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Oscar J. Carpenter (""Carp""), her daughter Nancy Carpenter Remillard, her sisters Ruth Sinclair, Betty Elliot, Sister Mary Jane VanDeuren, SSND and brothers Russell VanDeuren and Robert VanDeuren. Staying behind to cherish her warm smile, quick wit and devoted love are her children Jane McMahon (Deer Lodge, Montana), Jim (Mary A.) Carpenter (Louisville, Kentucky) and Mary C. Carpenter (Denver), eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Having been born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Rosemary was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan. She graduated from Green Bay East High School, where the Packers played their first games and she helped ""pass the hat"" to pay the players. Rosemary has been an owner of Green Bay Packer stock and owner of season tickets since the early 1950's. Rosemary and Carp moved their family to Denver in 1963 and Rosemary worked for Graham Paper, Boise Cascade and Nationwide Papers until her retirement in 1986. She played golf with the Kennedy 9-hole and Wellshire Womens' League for many years and was a certified instructor of Motion and Mobility at Schlessman YMCA for almost 30 years. Rosemary proudly carried the Olympic Torch in downtown Denver in connection with the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. Her funeral will be at 2:30 pm, Friday January 9, 2015 at Church of the Risen Christ, 3060 S. Monaco St, Denver, CO 80222. Interment will be at 11:00 am, Monday January 12, 2015, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, CO 80236.
