Rose Ann Moran

August 31, 1930 — August 13, 2025

Rose Ann Moran passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born at home on August 31, 1930, in Alida, Kansas. From an early age, Rose Ann embraced life with joy—she loved to laugh, to dance, and to spend time with her friends.

After growing up in a small town, she followed her adventurous spirit to Kansas City, where she began her career as a stewardess with Mid-Continent Airlines. Later, transferring to Minneapolis, she met the love of her life, pilot Richard “Dick” Moran. The two were married on June 23, 1954, beginning a marriage that would last more than 50 years.

At that time, stewardesses were not allowed to be married, and Rose Ann left her flying career behind to embrace a new chapter—raising her family. She and Dick welcomed three children: Julie, Mark, and Janet. Family was at the heart of everything Rose Ann did, and she cherished her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Rose Ann loved all sports and was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies. Whether cheering from her living room or following the latest scores, she never lost her enthusiasm for the games.

She and Dick shared a life filled with love, travel, and laughter until his passing, and together they celebrated 50 years of marriage. Rose Ann delighted in her four grandchildren—Kate, Allison, Elizabeth, and Joseph—and was overjoyed to become a great-grandmother to TJ, and twins Rosie and Mabel.

In 2014, Rose Ann sold the family home and moved in with her daughter Janet, where she enjoyed the warmth and care of family in her later years.

Rose Ann will be remembered for her zest for life, her quick smile, her love of sports, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, laughter, and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 10, 2025, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Highlands Ranch, CO. The Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Dick.
