Rosalie L. Bustos

Rosalie Loretta Bustos, age 89, peacefully entered into eternal life on November 30, 2025 surrounded by family. 

Rose was born in Mora, New Mexico, on the first day of Spring March 21, 1936. She left us in Autumn which was her favorite season. She moved to Wyoming and eventually met the love of her life in 1950. She later became a young bride and a mother to three daughters. What she didn’t possess in formal education, she made up for in love and gentle wisdom. She made a living as a seamstress and graced many homes with meticulously sewn custom drapery. She created quilts and also loved to embroider - gifting many people with beautifully hand sewn dish towels. She loved Elvis Presley and Gone With the Wind and collected memorabilia of both. She was a good cook and she always welcomed people into her home and offered them a meal.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Chevarria (Gene), Jennifer Schweitzer (Jerry), Debra Bustos (Gerardo “Lalo” Diaz), one grandson, Vincent Bustos-Diaz (Helena Villalobos), two brothers Sacie Griego, and Jesse Griego, several in-laws, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinando R. Bustos, her parents, Hipolito and Emelina Griego, sisters, Frances A. Bustos, Sarah Sanchez and Tomasita Griego, and brothers Hipolito “June” Griego Jr. and Jerry Griego.

Funeral services will be held at Horan & McConaty, December 15, 2025, at 11 am, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, CO 80003 with a Reception to follow.
