Ron was born in Denver to Roselle and Max Muckey. Ron has one older brother Jonny and one younger brother Lonny.
Ron started his work life as a drilling truck operator here in Denver and other western states as a young man picking up expertise and experience at work. Shortly after in his career his company received the bid to work on a Super Fund site at Rocky Mountain Arsenal. Ron was required to work in full decontamination suit, gloves and boots. He was taught more than he wanted to know about hazardous materials like white sulfur and the interaction with oxygen. He also worked drilling test cores above Cheyenne Mountain for NORAD. Both of these sites required Ron to work under armed Military guards. And if you knew Ron you would know that He loved it.
Even though Ron loved working as a driller, he was unable to keep his CDL license due to developing Diabetes. He had worked with his Dad in various service stations as a teenager doing oil changes, tune ups and doing full service gas pumping. He became a Master Mechanic earning accreditation in Autos, light truck, and heavy duty trucks. Ron was also a Master Mechanic in emissions and air conditioning units. He owned and operated several Automotive repair shops in the Denver Metro area. He also owned two emission testing stations for old vehicles.
After becoming disabled Ron started his final job. Ron started working for Air Care Colorado as a lane inspector for the last ten years of his life. Ron loved helping people and loved being around vehicles, so working at an emission testing made his job easy to do every day.
Ron had the ability to make lifetime friends within moments of meeting a person. He truly loved working with women and always went out of his way to help out anyone at any time.
Ron was married to his beloved wife Jean. They shared 28 years together 23 blessed years of marriage.
