Ronni Fitzgerald

Ronni Jill Fitzgerald, ne Schoen (82), passed from this earth on the last day of June 2025, after a battle with dementia and a fall.

At her passing, Ronni was surrounded by her family, Brian, husband of 61 years; Ronni and Brian’s son Sean and his wife Christine Shore, together with their son Royden; Ronni and Brian’s daughter Doreen, together with her daughter Clodagh; and Ronni’s brother and lifelong friend, Robert Schoen and his wife Carol. Ronni is also survived by her granddaughter, Tatum, and Robert’s son Jeremy, who were out of state at the time of Ronni’s passing.

Ronni and her brother Robert grew up in Manhattan, New York City, but at her passing Ronni and her husband were over fifteen years residents at their home in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Ronni was active in the community, serving on the board of the Yampa River Botanic Park in Steamboat. She loved to travel with her husband, sailing to a multitude of cities on all seven continents. Ronni was intelligent, quick witted, cheerful, caring, and loved by all who knew her. She will be sorely missed.

Ronni’s family requests that those who wish to remember her with a gift, do so by donating to the Yampa River Botanic Park or the Alzheimer’s Association.
