Ronald Joseph Martinez

Ronald “Ron” “Ronnie” Martinez, age 62, passed away, on May 11, 2024.

Ronnie was born December 10, 1961, in Denver, CO. He graduated from Iver C Ranum High School in Westminster, CO in 1981.

In 1987, Ronnie married his junior high school sweetheart, Carla (Montoya) Martinez where they enjoyed almost 37 years of marriage. The two grew up together and spent over 50 years at each other’s side.  

Ronnie loved fishing, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed working at Hertz Rental Car company for over 40 years where he established friendships with co-workers and longtime customers.  

He is survived by his wife Carla, his parents Joe and Judy Martinez, his sister Diane Shirey, his sister Nancy Duran and her husband Mike Duran, his sister-in-law Lisa Montoya and her husband Richard Maestas, his brother-in-law Charles “Rick” Montoya and his wife Tina Montoya. Additionally, Ronnie is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

He is proceeded in death by his brother-in-law Robert Shirey, his Sister-in-law Denise Bartolo and her husband Nick Bartolo and his Sister-in-law Bernadette Moya.
