Ronald Dale Ellis—Ron, 66, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away February 17, 2026, after enduring the effects of ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) for about 2 years. Ron was born in Butler, Missouri and grew up in Harrisonville, Missouri.
Ron spent 21 years in various roles of sales and marketing in the electronics manufacturing industry, with the first two years in Kansas City and St Louis, MO and then in Chicago, IL. For his final few years with the company, he managed an engineering team for product development, and then took early retirement and moved his family to Centennial, CO. There, he took on another career as an entrepreneur in the hospitality industry, owning and managing a hotel, and later, helping to manage a restaurant. Along the way he served on the Grand County Colorado Tourism Board for many years.
Ron married Angela Brown in 1981, and during their 29 years of marriage they had two children. Angela became part of Ron’s support team as he dealt with ALS, and was his caregiver in her home for his last three months.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Elaine Ellis, and his older brother, David Ellis. He is survived by his children: Dana Ellis of Denver, CO, and Rachel Ellis (Nick Webster) of Centennial, CO; his brothers: Michael (Brenda) Ellis, of Springfield, MO; and Stanley (Kelley) Ellis, of Weston, MO; and two nieces.
