Rogelio Agonoy Albano, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away suddenly at home on April 9, 2025, at the age of 68.
Rogelio was born on July 10, 1956, in San Mateo, Philippines. On December 11, 1982, he married his pen pal, Clarita, in his hometown. They shared 42 wonderful years of marriage.
He is survived by his loving wife, Clarita; his children, Melanie, Ray Charles, and Michael; his grandchildren, Amelia and Wyatt; and his siblings, Cely, Roger, Rolly, and Rey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Inez Albano.
Rogelio served in the U.S. Air Force from 1984 to 1988, then continued to serve as a reservist until his retirement in 2016. He also worked as an electrical engineer for the federal government, retiring in 2021. His career took him across the world, with assignments in Illinois, California, Japan, and Colorado.
A man of many passions, Rogelio found joy in golf, fitness, and most of all, his family. He could often be found on the golf course with his children, staying active, or cherishing moments with his grandchildren. Being a grandfather was one of the greatest joys of his life.
A celebration of Rogelio’s life will be held on May 4, 2025, at 1:00 PM, with a viewing beginning at 12:00 PM at Horan and McConaty, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO.
