Roberto "Robert" Corrales

January 26, 1942 — March 4, 2023

Roberto ‘Robert’ Salgado Corrales was a strong and steadfast brother, husband, and father; on Saturday, March 4, 2023, he passed away on his own terms, peacefully and at home, after being diagnosed with cancer in December 2022. Robert is survived by his daughter, Carol Yoselin Corrales, siblings: Frank, Fred, Evangelina, and Maria, and other loving extended family. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Dollina Corrales.

Robert was born to Crestina Salgado and Tomas Corrales, on January 26, 1942 in Marfa, Texas, his family later relocated to Southern California. After graduating from Compton High School, he went on to serve four years in the United States Air Force, and received Honorable Discharge in 1963. He later moved to Colorado and graduated from Aerotech after studying Aeronautical Mechanics and worked in construction until getting employed with Continental; during this time, he met Cindy, who he would marry on December 12, 1982.

In 1991, Robert and Cindy welcomed their daughter, Yoselin home after finalizing her adoption from Honduras. Robert was mechanically minded, and always took a logical approach to parenting, he was direct and very no nonsense, but offered a laugh and a smile along the way; his family was his pride and joy, and he did all he could to take care of them. In his free time, Robert enjoyed traveling, fishing, and taking care of his home.
