Robert "Bob" Valodine, 81, passed away on March 5, 2026. Born on September 3, 1944, in Cheyenne Wyoming, he grew up in Wichita, Kansas and later made Colorado his home. Bob worked for many years as a skilled tool grinder and RCT technician, retiring from Rocky Flats after a long career marked by dedication and craftmanship.
Bob was known for his sharp wit, easy humor, and love of a good dad joke. He was a man of deep Christian faith whose life was transformed by his walk with the lord. His devotion to prayer, Scripture, and his church community remained central to him throughout his life.
He was a loving father who never stopped trying to grow, soften, and show up with heart. To his family, he was a steady presence, and to his grandsons, he was a good papa who brought laughter into every moment they shared.
Bob is survived by his daughter Heather Cionek and son-in-law Mike Cionek; his grandsons Liam and Owen; His sister Darla; and several other loving family members and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Okal and Marie Valodine, his brother Ken Valodine and his wife Jeannie Valodine.
Bob will be remembered for his humor, his faith, and the kindness he carried into every chapter of his life. His memory lives on in the family and friends who loved him.
