Robert James Papan, Bob to family and friends, passed away on November 28, 2024 at age 67. Bob was the oldest son of Robert and Loretta Papan of Orland Park, Illinois. He grew up in Calumet Park, Illinois and proudly graduated from Marist Catholic High School.
Bob was always a hard worker, who began working as a paper boy and worked his way through high school and college. He put himself through college with scholarships he earned and working at Ford Motor Company. He proudly graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelors of Finance.
He tried many jobs, but found he enjoyed working for himself best. He owned a Snap-On Tool franchise for a while, but decided to move to Colorado in 1991 and to become an electrician with IBEW Local 68 out of Denver.
He married and settled into his current home in Idaho Springs with his then wife and her daughter, Shannon Clark. He enjoyed living in the mountains and spending time outdoors and was happy being involved with the church and being a part of his community.
He took pride in always learning about current events and politics and enjoyed having animated discussions with people. He would talk to everybody and always was willing to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his mother, Loretta Papan, daughter, Shannon Clark, brothers James (Mary Ann) Papan, Michael (Ellen) Papan, William (Gina) Papan and sister Sandra (David) Myers. He was dearly loved by his many nieces, nephews and friends.
