Robert S. Motika, 94, of Denver passed away peacefully on September 11, 2014 after a long illness, surrounded by his family, including Edith (nee Princic), his wife of 71 years. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Bob served in the Army Air Corp in World War II and relocated to Colorado in 1947, where he attended the University of Colorado for both his bachelor's and master's degrees. He worked as a senior human resources manager for the Mountain Bell region for 35 years. Bob was an active member of the Colorado Human Resource Association, the Colorado Gerontological Society, and Telephone Pioneers for Life. Friends and family remember Bob as a gracious host with a dynamic personality and a zest for life. He imparted to his children and grandchildren a love of learning. Bob leaves behind his wife, Edith, his children, Richard Motika, Thomas Motika, Kathleen Motika and Susan Motika, and his grandchildren Stephen Motika, Caren McPherson, and Tommy Cauchi. Visitation will start at 3 PM Wednesday, September 17 followed by the Funeral Mass at 4 PM both at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2626 East 7th Avenue Parkway (7th Avenue and Elizabeth), Denver, CO 80206. Interment, Thursday, September 18, 11:30 AM, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area ""B"".
