Robert Eugene Mancuso, age 89, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Born on August 12, 1936, Robert grew up in Kansas City, Kansas, where he graduated from Wyandotte High School. In his youth, he exhibited a sense of duty and pride that would define his later years, serving proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960 aboard the USS Magoffin APA 199.
In 1980, Robert made the heartfelt decision to move to Aurora, Colorado, together with his family, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. He embarked on a successful journey in business by starting a mailroom service company, dedicating years of hard work, which he retired from in 2000. Robert approached every facet of life with enthusiasm and vigor, whether it was his professional endeavors or the simple joys at home.
A devoted husband, Robert shared a beautiful life with his wife, Bernadine (Bernie) Mancuso, for an incredible 68 years. Their partnership was a testament to love and commitment; through the years, they built a family filled with warmth and togetherness.
Robert was a proud father to three sons: Stephen and his wife, Laura, Phillip and his wife, Tonia, and Bobby and his wife, Stacie. He delighted in the laughter and joy brought by his seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who were the apples of his eye. Their lives brought him immense joy and satisfaction, serving as reminders of the legacy of love he instilled within his family.
His passions were simple yet profound. Robert found joy in watching NASCAR races, following horse racing, and cheering on the Denver Broncos. He had an enthusiastic spirit when it came to playing penny slot machines, where he would often be seen with a smile, immersed in the thrill.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, who he held dearly in his heart. He is remembered fondly by those whose lives he touched and numbered among those who marveled at his unwavering zest for life and kindness to others.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Robert's life. A rosary will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, March 11th at Horan & McConaty Funeral Service and Cremation in Southeast Denver/Aurora. This will be followed by funeral services on Thursday, March 12th at 10:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, concluding with a private family graveside service at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 2 PM.
Though Robert Eugene Mancuso has left this world, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered, forever a guiding light to his beloved family.
