Robert ""Bob"" L. Hay

Robert L. Hay, 58, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, our loving husband, father, and brother, passed away suddenly April 24, 2019. Bob was born May 31, 1960, in Des Moines, Iowa to Gene Hay and Jean (VanArsdale) Hay.

Bob spent his childhood years in Des Moines, IA, Sioux Falls, SD and Bismarck, ND. He graduated from the University of North Dakota with an Accounting degree and went on to earn his CPA and his MBA in Finance. He worked for Wells Fargo for 26 years. He was a life-long Minnesota Twins and University of North Dakota hockey fan and owned plenty of fan-gear from both teams to prove it. Bob loved the Colorado mountains and climbed many 14'ers, often dragging his sister, brother, brother-in-law and friends along. He enjoyed golf, skydiving and skiing. He married Leesa in 1998 after 13 years of courtship. Leesa and Bob lived in Albuquerque, Las Vegas, San Antonio and Denver. They welcomed Sam into their lives in 2004. They joined St. Mark Catholic Church in 2001, where Bob served in the church in ways including Finance Council and the Knights of Columbus. Bob was Sam's biggest fan and he assisted coaching for several of Sam's baseball teams.

Bob is survived by his wife, Leesa Ann Weber-Hay; son, Samuel Kurtz Hay; brother, Doug Hay (Amy Jo); sister, Lori Buxton (Forrest) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Vigil/Rosary service will be held at 6:00pm, on Thursday, May 2^nd, at The Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am, on Friday, May 3^rd, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 9905 Foothills Canyon Blvd., Highlands Ranch, CO 80129. This will be followed by a luncheon in the church basement.
