Robert H. ""Bob"" Gaskin

Robert H. “Bob” Gaskin, passed in peace Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the age of 88 in his home with his family by his side. Preceded in death by his wife, Virginia. Loving father of Cherrie (Randy), Jan (Dennis), Jim, Mike (Jennifer), Bonnie (Steve), Suzy and Ginny. Proud grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 12.

In 1948, Robert enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he advanced to Missile Technician Chief Petty Officer and honorably discharged in 1972. He then went on to work for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring after 17 years. He is most recently noted for his dedication to volunteering at the Denver V.A. Medical Center where he received Volunteer of the Year in 2018 with over 10,000 volunteer hours. In addition, he was a member of Idledale Community Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and time with his family. Robert will be remembered for his kindness and generosity to all.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 9th at Idledale Community Church at 2 p.m. 21429 Highway 74, Idledale, CO 80453. Small reception to follow. All friends and family are welcome.
