Bob was known for his kind and loving nature. He had a wide circle of friends and was fond of sharing "Dad" jokes that brought joy to those around him. Bob will always be remembered for his affection of singing Broadway and Cowboy songs with his wonderful voice to friends and caregivers. His warm personality and love for his family were the cornerstones of his life.

Bob is survived by his sons, Paul and Tim, his daughters, Cathy and Nancy, his granddaughters, Erin and Stephanie, and his great-granddaughters, Betty and Caroline. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Geraline "Gerry" Auerbach.

After completing his higher education at the University of Oklahoma, Bob served in the Navy for four years. His military associations were a significant part of his life, and he took great pride in his service.

Bob met the love of his life Gerry in Colorado and promptly began his family by relocating and working in oil exploration in Venezuela. After returning to his favorite place, Colorado, to raise his growing family, he went to work for the Bureau of Reclamation. After a long and successful career at the Bureau, he retired as the Head of the Electrical Division in 1997.

Bob was an active member of the community and worshipped at Notre Dame Church in Lakewood, Colorado.

In his free time, Bob enjoyed fly fishing, square dancing, and sailing. These hobbies brought him immense joy and allowed him to connect with nature and his loved ones.

A Funeral Mass in memory of Bob will be held on December 1, 2023, at 11:00 am at Notre Dame Church in Lakewood, Colorado. Following the service, a reception will take place at Horan & McConaty, the funeral home assisting with the arrangements.
