Robert ""Bob"" Joseph Blind, 88, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2015 just 4 days shy of his 89th birthday. Bob was born on January 10, 1926, in Chicago, IL. His family later moved to Westfield, NJ, where he spent his early childhood. In 1939, they moved to Casper, WY. Bob attended college there, as well as at Regis University. He was a US Naval Veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Area as a Radio Man 3rd Class. He was one of 5 children and one of 4 brothers, all of whom served in the Navy during the war. After the war he graduated from University of San Francisco in Business Administration. He met Mary Ellen Waters in the city on a ""blind"" date on New Year's Eve in 1950. Bob and ""Mellen"" were married in 1952. Bob started at US Plywood in California and worked in the forest products industry for over 40 years. Bob is survived by daughter, Kathy (Steve) Miller of Cherry Hills Village; son, Bob, Jr., of Centennial; and two grandsons, Andrew and Dr. Tyler Miller. Funeral mass is scheduled at Church of the Risen Christ, 3060 South Monaco, Denver, on Monday, January 12, at 10:00 a.m., with a reception following at the parish hall.
