Robert Allen

Robert A. Allen, also known as Rob, Bob, Gramps or Bop, age 88, passed peacefully on to the Lord, Sunday evening, November 6, 2022, at Littleton Hospital, surrounded by his sons and family members.

Robert was born June 23, 1934, in Moscow, KS and graduated Littleton High School in Littleton, CO in 1952. He entered the United States Navy shortly thereafter. He married the love of his life and his high school sweetheart, Mary Patricia McCart on July 1, 1955. Upon discharge from the Navy, he went on to earn his bachelors and master’s degrees from the University of Denver. He worked 30 years for Denver Public Schools, primarily at Abraham Lincoln High School where he taught math and computer science.

Bob loved traveling, woodworking, and riding his Harley, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his wife Mary and his four grandchildren. He is survived by his sons Rick and Greg, daughters in law Lorie and Sheila, grandchildren Jennifer and husband Shane, Jessica and husband Jeff, Luke and wife Sarah, Riely and great grandchildren Johnathan, Matthew, Abigail and Jackson.

Funeral services will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO, Staging Area C at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held by family following the funeral.
