Rilla “Mema” Knutson was born in 1936 and died January 4, 2022.
Rilla grew up in Denver and graduated from South High School where she met her future husband. After graduation from Stephens College she became a stewardess for Braniff Airlines. She enjoyed flying and the life-long friends she made!
She married the love of her life in 1956, and was blessed with three daughters. Rilla was a Camp Fire Girl leader for each of her daughters, and was a member of the local Camp Fire Girls Council. She was very involved with their schools as a room mother and active in the PTA.
Rilla had many hobbies including golfing, reading, traveling, quilting, painting, as well as various other crafts. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family!
Mema adored all of her grandchildren! She supported them in their activities, but watch out if an opponent was too rough with any of her grandchildren!
Rilla was a friend to all, she had many different friend groups that she stayed in touch with throughout her life.
Rilla is preceded in death by her husband Bud Knutson, and is survived by her daughters Tammie (John), Terrie (Mike), Tracie (Brent), six grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
