Richard William Kastanek

Rich, age 66, passed away peacefully at his home in Highlands Ranch on March 29, 2023.  He was a graduate of Boulder High School.  He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Metropolitan State University.  He worked for 31 years in the Oil and Gas industry before retiring in 2016.

He met his wife 39 years ago on St. Patrick’s Day and was married 36 years.  He is survived by his wife, Jane, their son, Michael and their daughter, Samantha.  He is also survived by his mother, Jean, his sisters, Catherine, Caroline (Duane) Kerr, Christine and his brothers, Robert (Nancy), Ron, Roger (Jill), Raymond and Ralph, brother and sister in laws – Greg and Lori Frank, Kathi and Barry Matson, Mary and Brian Dimak, Mark and Nancy Frank, Jerry and Jo Ann Frank, and Patti and Dave Dewhurst, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, Alton.

A rosary will be held at Horan & McConaty in Centennial, CO on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.  Funeral mass will take place at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Centennial, CO on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. followed by entombment at Mount Olivet Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
