Richard Gregg Galligan, 79, died at his home in Centennial on Christmas Eve. He passed unexpectedly of natural causes.
Born July 20, 1943 in Denver, Colorado, to Evelyn and Thomas Galligan, Dick lived his entire life in the Denver area, where he attended Regis High School and was an avid fan of Denver’s sports team. A graduate of Colorado State University, he was a proud business owner for almost 40 years. He was an advocate for small business owners and a frontrunner for enhancing industry standards and reform in the meat packaging, processing and distribution industry.
In 1975, Dick married Myra Ann Carr, and together they had two children – Christopher and Kelly. A quietly loving husband, father, grandfather (to Brennen, Brian and Andrew), brother (to 4 siblings), and most of all a friend, he will be deeply missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 5th at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, 18000 E. Arapahoe Rd., Foxfield, CO (https:www.ourladyofloreto.org).
