Richard Alden Sykes

Richard Alden Sykes, age 60, of Centennial, Colorado passed away June 4, 2016. He was born January 12, 1956 to unknown parents and was soon after adopted by his loving family, Robert and Arlene Sykes and their older son, Bobby. Rick was preceded in death by his father Robert, mother Arlene, and his only brother Bobby. He is survived by his loving wife Vicki, three sons Ricky Jr., Pete, & Matt, and two grand children, Alex (California) and Brooklyn (Colorado), and many cousins and friends from all over the country. Rick was many things in life; a son & brother, a marine & postal clerk, a father & grandfather, and a multitude of other things that would be impossible to list. He loved and was loved by his family friends and many critters/pets (dogs, cats and horses). A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road, Centennial. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery on Tuesday, June 14 at 12:30 p.m. Donations may be made in Rick's honor to his Go Fund Me page at is.gd/RickSykes.
