Live by living! Richard “Rick” Alan Jagodzinski, age 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home in Littleton, CO on July 15, 2026. Rick is survived by his wife, Patricia “Patty”, and his two sons, Patrick of Littleton, CO, and Connor of Cape Girardeau, MO. He is also survived by 4 brothers, 2 sisters, 4 sisters-in-law, multiple nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Barbara, and caregivers Agnes and Francis.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at The River Church, 8375 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Littleton, CO 80128. A potluck luncheon will immediately follow at the home of Patty's brother, Dan Poppa. The address is 8168 S. Yukon St. Littleton, CO 80128. The family asks that any floral arrangements and condolences be sent to Dan Poppa’s home address above.

Rick was a romantic, he had many hobbies and interests, and was deeply passionate about them, a true Renaissance man. He was an explorer, hiker, scientist, skier, roller bladder, bicyclist, carpenter, writer, photographer, leather crafter, chess player, beer enthusiast, comedian, handyman, techie, lover of animals and native flowers in the wild. Rick was also an avid teacher and storyteller. He loved and collected books. His all-time favorite stories were The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings series.

Rick believed in enjoying every moment in life, and to live life by making memories, and he lived by his own advice. The family has thousands of photos to prove it!

With all that Rick enjoyed in his life, his biggest accomplishment and passion was raising his two boys. Without question, his true happiness and joy in life will always be Patrick and Connor. His wife Patty is a close second, and cake is right up there too!

There was never a bad day between Rick and Patty, as their love, humor and admiration of each other always prevailed. They cherished spending time together and enjoying the little things in life. Towards the end of his life, his wife asked him: “What is your favorite place in the whole wide world?” and Rick responded: “Your hands”.

Unconditional love does exist.
