Richard Ronald Garcia, age 63, passed away peacefully June 2nd, 2016. He was born April 8th, 1953 in Denver, Colorado to Charlotte Olivia Garcia and Jose Galasancio Garcia, Jr. He is preceded in death by his father Jose, his sister Phyllis, and his sister-in-law Mary. He leaves behind his Mother Charlotte, his wife Darlene of 31 years, his children, Richard Jaime (wife Christine), Anthony John (wife Jennifer), three Grandchildren, Vivian Chole, Amelia Jewel and Easton Xander; his sister Jeanette (Larry); and his 4 brothers, Julian (Christine), Ken (Pat), Donnie (his twin brother) and Victor; as well as many nieces and nephews. Richard worked for the United States Postal Service from Feb 1997 until he retired on April 22, 2016 due to his failing health. Prior to working at the USPS, as well as while working there, he was a small business owner of Concrete Pros. He focused on concrete finishing which he truly enjoyed. He was an artist and took pride in the work he did. Many in the Denver and surrounding communities enjoyed his work and the services he provided. He was a friend to all those he met and his friends called him family. He could always make his friends and family laugh with his stories, whether we believed his stories or not. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye and he wanted nothing more than to see them grow up. Upon Rich's request there will be no formal service. His ashes will be spread later in the Sangre De Cristo Colorado Mountains where he would hunt Elk and Deer each year with his friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society in Rich's honor. Please give your condolences to the Garcia family.
