Renea Kay Hogan

Renea Kay Hogan peacefully passed away in her home on November 27, 2025, in Bailey, CO.

Renea was born on June 27, 1957, to Jimmy and Loy Winfrey in Seward, NE. She grew up in Hastings, NE and graduated from Hastings Senior High School. She then went on to earn her nursing degree from the Bryan Memorial Hospital School of Nursing before moving to Denver, where she met and married her husband Dave Hogan in 1983, and together they welcomed their son, Ben in 1990.

Renea dedicated majority of her career to caring for newborns as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at St. Anthony North in Westminster. She had a true passion for working with babies and found deep purpose and fulfillment in being part of their earliest moments of life.

Renea is survived by her son Ben and his wife Jordan, who are expecting their first baby boy; her brother Scott Winfrey, his wife Cherie, and their children Ashley, Caitlin, and Colin.

Renea was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Loy Winfrey, and her husband, Dave Hogan.

A service to honor Renea’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 10th at 11:00 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery.

A celebration of life will follow at 33 Territory Dr. in Pine, CO 80470 at 12:45 PM.
