Raymond Dizmang

Raymond Dizmang passed away at his home, in his sleep, in Arvada, CO, in the early morning of Monday June 5, 2023 due to natural causes.   Raymond was 93 years old.  Raymond was born August 8, 1929 in Sharon Springs, Kansas to Henry Dizmang and Gladys Akers.

Raymond grew up in Goodland, Kansas and enlisted in the army in Sept 1948 and served in the Korean war during some of the most active fighting for a year.

Raymond married Nancy Sauer in at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church on June 30, 1952.   He and Nancy have been married over 70 years.

When he got back from the Military, he moved to Denver and worked for the Railroad and then Hutchinson Homes as a painter and finally started his own painting business, Dizmang Decorating.   His company worked on some of the finest homes in Denver.   He employed his son Clinton and Brother-in-Law Butch Cooper in the growing business, retiring in his late 60’s.

Raymond was an avid fisherman and took his family to many outdoor fishing trips to lakes in Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming with his family.   He was always there to help others in time of need and he loved dancing and telling jokes.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife Nancy, daughter Anette (Curt Loomis), granddaughter Ni’cole, and grandson’s Robin, Tyler, Jeston and Brandon, sister Darlene Kirby, and brother Darold Dizmang, and numerous extended family members.

Preceding him in death were his father Henry, mother Gladys, son Clinton, siblings; Mildred Laughlin, Irene Johnson, Vera Lynn, Hazel Morton; Kate Musil; brothers Sam Dizmang, Carl Dizmang, Lyle Dizmang and Dwane Dizmang.

A public memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on June 15, at Peace Lutheran Church.
