Randy Jay Hensley

Randy was born on December 17th, 1957 to parents Gene and Evelyn Hensley. He grew up in Thornton, CO. Randy married Debra Smith in 1990. They moved to Avon, CO soon thereafter. 

The marriage ended in 1995, but Randy continued to live in the Eagle, CO area for most of his adult life where he built his own business and made many friends. 

He loved the outdoors and hiked and fished extensively in the mountains around Eagle. He especially loved the Flattops Wilderness area. Randy was very athletic. He skied and snowmobiled and played on several softball and basketball teams. Randy was also an excellent cook!

Randy returned to live in Thornton after being stricken with cancer in 2021.

Sadly, Randy passed away on November 7, 2025. He is survived by his sisters Carolyn Hensley, Nancy Pew (Rod), brother Jim Hensley, nephews Willy and Lukas Pew, and great-niece Willa Pew as well as many cousins and friends. 

Funeral services will be on November 14, 2025 at 10 AM at Horan & McConaty located at 9998 Grant St. Thornton, CO 80229. Burial services will take place following the service at 11 AM at Olinger Highland Cemetery.
