Randall Keith Williams

October 30, 1937 — May 12, 2015

Randy (only his mother called him Randall and that was when he was in trouble) was born on October 30, 1937, the second child born to Richard and Edna Williams. Randy had a brother, Richard, who was four years older than he was. Like so many children born during this time period, Randy's Dad served during World War II. Because Randy's brother was a special needs child, the responsibility of being the ""man"" in the family while their Dad was away fell to Randy, a big task for a four year old to fill. When their Dad returned from the war, Randy began learning from his Dad the many crafts of building and woodworking. These would serve Randy well throughout his teen and adult years as hobbies, home projects and in later years, to generate income. Randy was always a sports enthusiast, running competitive track in high school, playing football and baseball (he tried out for a position with a minor league team after high school). In later years he enjoyed skiing, tennis and golf. He enjoyed an evening out dancing and going to the theater for musical performances. Randy's music tastes varied from country to good ole Rock and Roll and the 1940's Big Bands. Over the years Randy was employed in a variety of fields from banking, oil and gas, IT and finally as a Federal Government employee for the Veterans Affairs.
