Priscilla Roper Caudle passed away October 21, 2014 in Littleton, Colorado. Born August 26, 1940 in Birmingham, Alabama, she was the eldest of three children born to Gladys and A.D. Roper. She grew up in Homewood, Alabama, graduating from Shades Valley High School. In 1962, she graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Education and married David Arnold Caudle on June 2, 1962 in Homewood, Alabama. During her career as an educator, Priscilla taught in the Birmingham and Mountain Brook (Alabama) Public School systems in the 1960's and early 1970's. Upon moving to Colorado in 1974, she taught in the Denver area Jefferson County School system. She was a founding member and treasurer of the Foothills Fellowship Baptist (conservative) church in Littleton, Colorado. She and David later moved to Utah for a brief time and then to South Carolina, returning to Denver in 2003. In South Carolina, she served as an elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Simpsonville, S.C. Over the years, Priscilla volunteered as a Sunday School teacher, Girl Scout leader, Bible Study Fellowship leader, MOPS volunteer and census taker. Her interests included life time friendships, genealogy, fun vacations, music, biblical archeology. She was passionate about art and learning. Her real love was taking care of her family and she excelled at that. Priscilla and David celebrated fifty years of marriage in June of 2012. She is survived by her husband, David Caudle, of Littleton, Colorado, her children, Dianne Pestovich of Los Alamos, New Mexico and Kathy Menton of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, seven grandchildren, Joseph, Kimberly, Shannon, Valerie, Jason, Brian and Kaitlin. She is also survived by her brother, Douglas C. Roper of Fort Garland, Colorado and his family. Her sister, Suzanne R. Lisenby of Birmingham, Alabama and her family. Funeral services were held at Horan & McConaty on October 24, 2014. A Committal Service was held at Rocky Mountain Memorial Park on October 28, 2014.
