Preston “Pep” Hofeldt, 90, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, at Sunrise at Pinehurst. Born on December 27, 1934, in Lincoln, Nebraska, Pep lived a long, meaningful life rooted in love and family.
Pep was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Carol Hofeldt; parents, Grant and Mary; brothers Jess and Gary; sister Mona; and son-in-laws, David Johnson, and Paul Brunger.
He is survived by his daughters Sherry Brunger, Laurie Johnson, and Barb Hendrix (Mark); his brother Scott Hofeldt; his cherished grandchildren Chase (Jamie), Hans, Grant (Nichole Harris), Jeremiah (Kate), Gus (Molly), and Maria (Nick), and seven beloved great-grandchildren, Colbie, Reed, Bo, Walter, Hayes, Wade, and Rusty. Pep is fondly remembered by many friends whose lives he touched with kindness, humor, and wisdom.
Pep’s legacy lives on in the family he loved deeply and in the memories shared by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Pep's life will be held on July 11, 2025 at 10:30AM at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood. The family will greet friends and family at a reception immediately following at the Horan & McConaty reception center.
Pep will be laid to rest with his wife Carol at a private interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
