The Moberly family mourns the loss of Phyllis J Moberly, who peacefully departed surrounded by her three children the evening of Nov. 20th, 2024, a few hours prior to her 88th birthday.
She was born to Paul H & Lottie B Murray in Bedford Indiana Nov. 21st, 1936.
She grew up and attended school in Rawlins, Wyo graduating in 1955, voted best dancer in her senior high school yearbook. Phyllis went on to attend college at the University of Wyoming where she obtained her associates degree in cosmetology.
She married Daniel J Moberly June 26th, 1960, together they had 3 children, divorced in 1983, and remained amicable. They moved into her recent residence in Arvada June of 1969 where she resided for 55 yrs. In her children's early years she enjoyed being a housewife, and stayed active in the community acting at local theaters, volunteering to be a committee member several years for the RedBird fundraising golf tournament event benefiting the American Cancer Society, and being a boy scout den mother for a number of years. Other activities included crafting home and holiday decor, skiing, bowling, weekley bridge games, and she was an avid golfer. As her children grew older she worked outside of the home as a secretary and eventually retired from the Jeffco DA's office where she was a Legal secretary for 17yrs, making numerous friends. Her favorite pastimes post retirement included luncheons, bridge and spending quality time with her family and numerous friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, sister Patricia, and ex husband Daniel.
She is survived by her 3 children Brenda (Jaime), Paul (Cindy), Barb (Paul); 6 grandchildren Rose, Morgan (Blake), Willow (Dylan), Madison, Zach (Kelly), and Tyler; 3 great grandchildren Colt, Carson, Shania and one on the way, Hailee; as well as numerous cousins and friends.
