PHYLLIS ""ANN"" HARTWELL DENVER, CO December 3, 1935 to August 19, 2014 Ann, 78 of Denver, CO, formerly of Casper, passed away on August 19, 2014 after a short illness. Ann was born December 3, 1935 in Midwest, WY. She was the daughter of Henry P. & Alberta (Wagner) Hartwell. She moved to Casper in 1948 and graduated from NCHS in 1955.Ann lived with her parents until their deaths when she moved to Denver, CO in 2001 to live with her sister, Nancy, and brother-in-law Tom Guetz, who took loving care of her until her death. While living in Casper, Ann was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Casper Republican Women's Club. She baby sat for many of the neighbor children who remained friends with her for life. She was a Casper Trooper supporter and enjoyed watching the Wyoming Cowboys in many sports. She also was a Denver Bronco and Colorado Rockies fan and was able to attend some of their games. Ann's biggest hobby was making cross stitch baby quilts for all 5 of her great nieces and 5 more for relatives' babies. They were works of art taking a year to do each one and a prized possession for all who received them. The highlights of her 13 years living in Denver were being able to be around her 5 great- nieces and watch them grow to college and high school girls at present. She attended their school plays, violin concerts, many soccer games, graduations and celebrated their birthdays. Ann loved childrenâall ages! Preceded in death by her parents, Henry P. and Alberta (Wagner) Hartwell and brother, Tom Hartwell. Survived by her brother Richard ""Dick"" Hartwell, of Riverton; Sister Nancy (Tom) Guetz, of Denver; niece, Jane Hartwell Hawk (Mark) of Maple Valley, WA.; nephews Michael Gibson Hartwell (Kirstie) of Missoula, MT, Scott Guetz (Patti) of Littleton, CO, Brent Guetz (Jamie) of Golden, Co; great-nephew, Harvey Hartwell of Spokane, WA; great-nieces Katie, Emily, Sami, Shay and Tara Guetz. In addition to family, Ann leaves behind many beloved extended family members and dear friends. Ann's presence in all of our lives with be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Denver, CO. Memorials may be made in her name to Casper Troopers or Immune Deficiency Foundation, to honor great-niece, Tara Guetz at 40 W.
